Yes, either get Lumines or a Pandora’s Battery. Since the Lumines version is much easier and the game itself is really funny, I strongly recommend you to buy the game. Follow this guide and you’ll make it in no time:

wow, the new m33 can be done straight from your psp without having a computer, I updated mine to 5.00m33-6 using the network update
I wouldn’t try it, try updating to 3.80m33 and then to 5.00m33 just to be safe.

Hey, i followed the instructions exactly, but 1 of my files in psp shows up as corrupted. i can load the “3.40 OE-A Firmware install” not the updater :(. can u help me out.

Sorry, the only way to downgrade would be to buy a Datel Service Battery (or another brand) and a Service Memory Stick (another name for it is “Magic Memstick”). If it works for one PSP, it should work for all the others as well.
i have 5.03 and 1 psp, everyone i know has the same firmware, how can i downgrade with i psp?
Why do you want to install 3.40 when 3.90 is later and also better? You can easily install the latest M33 version by entering Recovery Mode and activating “M33 Network Update”. Then enter XMB and press Network Update. It will check for the latest version and then download if you agree.
I guess it is possible, but it’s hard. Also, people don’t really search that much for downgraders now that the Pandora Battery is here.
I guess you can. But I don’t have Vista, so I don’t know.
M33 is just the new name of the releases that once were named OE.
