Can games be played without inserting a umd into a psp?

If so how?

is there any way to play games on psp 3000 without umd?

i recently bought psp 3000. when i checked its version it was 6.20 and therefore i cant hack it, so i was thinking there should be another way to play games on psp. i really don’t wanna waste my money on UMD. if any know please answer..

What is the easiest, most reliable way to run homebrew and new UMD games that require 2.71 firmware on a PSP?

I just downgraded my 3.03 firmware PSP to a 1.50 firmware so I can run homebrew apps and games. I love it! But when I decided to play my NBA Live 2007 game it said I had to upgrade to 2.71 firmware, which as far as I know disables all homebrew from running. I tried to use the Devhook .51 upgrade using the "All-in-one EBOOT" but I kept on getting the "Blue Screen Of Death" saying that my settings were "corrupt" and to press O to restore them. So it never worked. I want to run all my games and homebrew easily without to much risk to bricking my PSP. Any suggestions?

P.S. I don’t want to be able to run ISOs of games I downloaded. That is not the point. I just want to easily load and run homebrew and UMD games. Thanks!

Where can you get a psp UMD emulator rip so you can play any official PSP game?

i mean an emulator that plays full PSP games on the PSP wherby u download and store the file on your memory stick and the program tricks the PSP into thinking it is playing a regular retail-version of the game. I have firmware 2.81, will it work or u have to have 1.5-2.0?
