they do make those in bigger memory. i saw a 64 megabyte one at a store
well thar are batterys in them that will go out and you can replace them but i agry with him thay will last longer then today game consoles

@pmejia27 Nope. To be honest a PS1 memory card doesn’t have enough memory to save probably a forth of all PS2 games.

Dreamcast Came too early, Xbox came too late, PS2 came at just the right time.
Can a old ps1 memory card save new ps2 games?
um sorry the ps2 clearly won the xbox which i liked survided because of halo and halo 2 and even then had a short life compared to the ps2 which you can still buy new not to mention the ps2 had God of War 1 and 2, the Sly Cooper series, The Jak series, The Ratchet and Clank seris, Crach Bandicoot early on, The GTA series etc
You forgot (or did not know) to mention that a PS2 Memory Card can hold PSX/PSOne files.
It wil not work to save the files wile playing the games, but in the file screen on the PS2 you can use the PS2 Memory Card to storage your old PSX/PSOne files.
I did that back in the day because I did not had a PSX and wen I bought my first PS2 I was worried that my old PSX memory cards lost the files so the first thing I did was I cheked my old saves and then transfered them to the new PS2 Memory Card.
