How do I use the PSP 3000 microphone?

I have the PSP 3000 Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters bundle. When I Ratchet and Clank play online,people are always talking during the game. Here is a list of the some of things that they say:

Get to the objective!
Ha-ha!
Owned!
Help!

I want to learn how to use the microphone so that I can talk during the game too. If there is anyone out there that can help me, please do!

They dont use a microphone they just go to the quick select wepon and tthen hold down L or R or O im not 100% sure but just try it.
