dang, if it emulated the n64 better, i might get one. Does the psp 3000 have a better processor, or better hardware all thogether? Or are the screen and buttons just different?

I cant say for certain. Firmware 5.03 was released in late February of this year. So if the psp was manufactured before that then you should have firmware 5.03 or lower.
hey man i was thinkin about buyin a psp 3000 and i was wonderin if all 3000s came with 5.03 so i could use chickHEN. any answers are much apperciated
also if ur ripping the ps1 games off their discs, pm me for directions on installing them and i can help u.
ur supposed to put ps1 games in the game folder, not the iso folder.

I made no claim that my psp was a 3000. This trick works on a 3000 though.

hiya, i’ve been reading through all the posts but I’ve not figured out my problem.
I’m running on 5.03 m33-6 on a psp3003, naturally I can play psp iso/cso files by downloading and storing into the iso file, what I can’t work out though is how I can play psx games on it, throwing a ps1 iso into the iso file has no effect ( takes mb but isn’t recognised) – sorta like with a non-hacked psp.
would I be asking too much if you could tell me what to download and where to put it ? ^-^;??

yes it will work on 3000 as well. The firmware is official sony 5.03. Once installed you can run the chickhen exploit. The exploit will let you install the emulators found in the description. you will need to find roms on your own however.
will it work on the PSP 3000?.. So once i download this firmware 5.03 will the games automatically be in there?..and lastly, Is there something that i will need to buy?….sorry for all the questions i’m just new at this stuff!
it works on all versions of the psp. you will need to update to firmware 5.03 for this to work however. In the description you will find all the filies necessary.
all this is for slim version or fat too (psp 1000) i have 5.02 firmware psp 1000 what mod do u recoment me ?

Do you have to extract the games (roms) before you put them on the psp. If its an option does it save space to leave them in zip format?

It’s not working. I formatted my memory stick but when I go to the eggsploit it just sits there on a blank image with a camera in the middle then the thing shuts down. I thought I had put the bin file in the wrong place so I put it in one of the folders within it and it still didn’t work. What’s wrong?
Whoa wait, I can use this to install custom firmware? So if my battery actually shows up I could just sell it and already have my custom firmware? How do I install custom firmware using this?
